从生态批评的视角解读劳伦斯中短篇小说

【摘要】：生态批评理论兴起于欧美20世纪90年代中期，是研究文学与环境之间关系的文学批评理论，体现人类对自身文明体系的全面反思。以利奥波德的大地伦理以及奈斯的深层生态学为基础，生态批评理论涉及自然生态批评、社会生态批评和精神生态批评三个方面的内容。本文拟以生态批评理论为依托、以文本细读为基础、以D. H.劳伦斯的中短篇小说为研究对象，对其中短篇作品中的生态思想予以全面考察，希望能藉此为理解和欣赏劳伦斯的中短篇小说提供新的视角和方法。劳伦斯的生态意识本质上是一种深刻的生命意识，这种生命意识是其看待事物的出发点和落脚点。他在中短篇作品中所着力表现的对自然的崇拜、对社会关系异化的质疑、对死亡的认同以及对理性的否定，都是其在不同的侧面、用不同的方式表达对生命关怀的体现。研究发现：中短篇作品更全面地展现了劳伦斯的生态意识。在中短篇小说中，自然之景与人物共同作为作品的主角，更进一步揭示劳伦斯对自然的关爱，体现其自然生态意识。劳伦斯从多个方面研究了人与人之间的关系。男女关系、代际关系、兄妹关系都在其社会关系的研究范畴。对比长篇小说中男女关系的研究单一性，中短篇小说对社会关系的多角度研究丰富了劳伦斯社会生态思想，引发读者深思。对于人类精神生态的失衡，劳伦斯认为除了返归自然外，逃离以及诉诸暴力也是重新获得平衡以及活力的途径。同时本文也指出，在文明已经无孔不入地渗入到生活各个角落的今天，劳伦斯全面返归自然的期望只能作为乌托邦式的存在。
[Abstract]:The theory of ecological criticism, which originated in Europe and America in the middle of 1990s, is a literary criticism theory that studies the relationship between literature and environment. On the basis of Leopold's earth ethics and Ness' deep ecology, ecological criticism theory involves natural ecological criticism. Based on the theory of ecological criticism, on the basis of detailed reading of the text, this paper takes D. H. Lawrence's short and medium novels as the object of study, and focuses on the following three aspects: social ecological criticism and spiritual ecological criticism, based on the theory of ecological criticism, on the basis of close reading of the text. It is hoped that the ecological thoughts in his short and medium works will provide a new perspective and method for understanding and appreciating Lawrence's novels. Lawrence's ecological consciousness is essentially a kind of profound life consciousness, which is the starting point and the foothold of his view of things. The identification of death and the negation of reason are the embodiment of its concern for life in different ways. In this novel, the scene of nature and the characters are the protagonists of the works, which further reveal Lawrence's love for nature and reflect his natural ecological consciousness. Lawrence studies the relationship between man and woman from many aspects. The relationship between men and women, intergenerational, sibling and sibling are all in the category of social relations. The multi-angle study of social relations in short and medium-length novels enriches Lawrence's social ecological thought and causes readers to think deeply. With regard to the imbalance of human spiritual ecology, Lawrence believes that in addition to returning to nature, escaping and resorting to violence are ways to regain balance and vitality. Today, when civilization has permeated every corner of life, Lawrence's expectation of returning to nature can only be regarded as a utopian existence.
