小说《德伯家的苔丝》中隐喻的认知研究

【摘要】：隐喻是一种重要的思维方式,能够帮助人们识别和把握世界,隐喻的本质就是通过另一类事物来理解和经历某一类事物。在许多文学作品中,隐喻表现为描写人物、暗示场景、抒情和叙事等,运用隐喻,既能深化文章主题,又能提升文章情感表达,因此隐喻是文学的基本问题之一,人们能够用隐喻来表达情意。概念隐喻在文学作品中反复出现并反映作品的主旨,帮助读者理解文学作品中的主要内容和关键意义。关于《德伯家的苔丝》这部世界名作,有很多学者和学生从很多不同的角度进行分析,但是大多数都将焦点聚集于悲剧的原因上,很少有人从隐喻的角度来研究这部小说,而隐喻却恰恰是一种重要的认知途径,通过对相关统计数据的分析,我们发现从研究趋势上看,从隐喻的角度来分析文学作品呈明显上升趋势,托马斯·哈代的小说作品风格多变,题材普遍,内容丰厚,他特别擅长在其长篇小说中运用隐喻的手法来丰厚他的写作艺术技巧、增强小说的表达力和描写人物性情。隐喻既可以源于文本内的不同语义单位间的类同,又可以源于某一叙事单位与文本之外文明意义单位的有形联络。这一类具有丰厚文明、社会和历史内涵的语义单位替掉了原来能够出现的事情,结果也就使我们认同于这一意象丰厚的社会、文明和历史意义。哈代经常在其小说言语中运用这一类的隐喻手法。《德伯家的苔丝》描写贫困漂亮的挤奶女工苔丝因年轻无知而失身于富家恶少亚雷·德伯,受尽肉体上和物质上的煎熬,最后失掉自己真心爱恋的克莱,悲愤绝望之中,杀死亚雷,安然走上绞刑架。在临终前,苔丝离开现代异教徒祭奠太阳神的遗址——悬石神庙休息,安静地等候被警察拘捕。那些历久的石柱照旧驻立在荒原上迎接太阳的升起,成为荒原上最为明亮的景观,“这是曙光将要来临的光景”,是生的希望,而苔丝行将走向刑场,走向死亡。这种“生的希望”与“死的消亡”构成了强烈的对比和指向,把小说悲剧颜色发展到极致。本文对小说《德伯家的苔丝》中的隐喻进行研究,运用了概念隐喻理论对《德伯家的苔丝》中主要隐喻进行分析,传达了隐喻在人们思考和行动的日常概念系统中体现的重要作用,尤其是通过分析小说中蕴含的颜色隐喻、多重隐喻、家的隐喻、背景隐喻等,进一步深化对小说主题的理解,从隐喻角度加强对小说的分析和鉴赏。
[Abstract]:Metaphor is an important way of thinking which can help people to recognize and grasp the world. The essence of metaphor is to understand and experience a certain kind of thing through another kind of thing. Lyricism and narrative, using metaphor can not only deepen the theme of the article, but also enhance the emotional expression of the article. Therefore, metaphor is one of the basic problems in literature. People can express their feelings with metaphors. Conceptual metaphors are repeated in literary works and reflect the gist of the works, helping readers to understand the main content and the key significance of literary works. About Tess of the Decaux d'Urbervilles, the world famous work, There are many scholars and students who analyze it from many different angles, but most of them focus on the causes of tragedy. Few people study the novel from the perspective of metaphor, which is an important cognitive approach. Through the analysis of the relevant statistical data, we find that from the perspective of the research trend, the analysis of literary works from the perspective of metaphor shows an obvious upward trend, Thomas Hardy's novel style is changeable, the subject matter is universal, and the content is rich. He is particularly good at using metaphor in his novels to enrich his artistic writing skills and enhance his expressiveness and character description. Metaphor can be derived from the similarities between different semantic units in the text. It can also be derived from the tangible connection between a narrative unit and a unit of civilized meaning outside the text. This kind of semantic unit with rich civilization, social and historical connotations replaces what could have happened. As a result, we identify with the rich social, civilized and historical significance of this image, which Hardy often uses in his novel speech. Tess of the d'Urbervilles describes the poor and beautiful milkmaid Tess, who lost herself to the rich family, Alley Deber, because she was young and ignorant, and suffered physical and material suffering, and finally lost Clay, whom she truly loved, in despair and grief. Kill Yar'ai, walk safely into the gallows. Before she dies, Tess leaves the ruins of the modern heathen, the hanging Stone Temple, to rest, quietly awaiting arrest by the police. The old pillars stand still in the wilderness to greet the rise of the sun. As the brightest landscape on the desert, "this is the dawn coming," is the hope of life, and Tess is about to go to the execution ground, to death. This "hope of life" and "the death of death" constitute a strong contrast and direction, This paper studies the metaphors in Tess of the Decaux d'Urbervilles, and analyzes the main metaphors in Tess of the Decaux d'Urbervilles by using the conceptual metaphor theory. It conveys the important role of metaphor in the daily conceptual system of people's thinking and action, especially by analyzing the color metaphor, multi-metaphor, home metaphor, background metaphor and so on, so as to further deepen the understanding of the theme of the novel. Strengthen the analysis and appreciation of the novel from the perspective of metaphor.
