【摘要】：基兰·德赛凭借第二部小说《失落》获得了2006年的布克奖,在这部既发人深省又充满幽默趣味的小说里,德赛融入了个人及整个家族在亚洲、欧洲、美洲这一他乡生活的经历,笔端娴熟地地交织于第三世界和发达国家之间,描绘出了后殖民主义时代被放逐的痛楚。《失落》最重要的主题之一就是英国殖民统治结束后对当今印度社会各方面的深刻影响。作者尝试寻根探源,想要从后殖民角度解析西式文化对印度的瓦解,既包括了英国殖民统治时代的印度,还有民族解放后的印度。她渴望探索全球化的移民浪潮中的移民是否真的能够实现自己在发达国家的美梦,以及世界政治经济的不平衡性是怎样消解国家与民族,怎样吞噬个人的。虽然这些不是全新的主题,但是德赛用新颖的写作方式,独特的思路向我们展示了横跨两大洲、穿越三代岁月的时空之旅。本文主要采用理论分析与文本细读相结合的方法,对基兰德赛及其小说《失落》进行后殖民主义解析。文章主要从三个方面对《失落》进行后殖民主义角度的探讨：第一,主要探析殖民语境下被边缘化的“他者”。面对西方殖民者的侵袭,印度人的宗教信念开始动摇；印度人不论是在印度还是西方国家,都变成了无声的“属下阶层”；非法移民既肩负着又终结了父辈的梦想,这一切都深刻体现着西方对印度的殖民影响。第二,主要探析印度人身份的失落。随着殖民者对西方文化的推崇、对英语的宣传,给印度人带来了严重的身份危机。面对殖民文化冲击和种族歧视,印度人夹在印度文化和西方文化之间的两难境地中迷失了自我,显现出严重的身份认同危机。第三,主要探析《失落》的后殖民书写方式。表面上看起来有些零散的叙事结构和人物刻画,实际上内含一脉相承的思想,那就是几代人之间对“失落”的传承。印度本国的传统在不断地失落,想要走出文化困境,彻底摆脱殖民统治,必须深深根植于本民族的传统,回归自我,积极寻求启动本族文化非殖民化的进程。
[Abstract]:Kieran Desai won the 2006 Booker Prize for his second novel, lost. In this thought-provoking and humorous novel, Desai integrates his personal and family experiences in Asia, Europe, and the Americas. The pen skillfully interweaves between the third world and the developed world, depicting the pain of exile in the post-colonial era. One of the most important themes of lost is the profound influence of the end of British colonial rule on all aspects of modern Indian society. The author tries to find its roots and tries to analyze the disintegration of western culture to India from the perspective of post-colonization, which includes both India under British colonial rule and India after national liberation. She is eager to explore whether the immigrants in the wave of globalization can really realize their dreams in the developed countries, and how the imbalance of world politics and economy can eliminate countries and nations, and how to devour individuals. Although these are not entirely new themes, Desai uses novel writing methods and unique ideas to show us a journey through three generations of time and space across two continents. This paper mainly adopts the method of combining theoretical analysis and text reading to analyze Kierandersse and his novel "lost" after colonialism. This paper mainly discusses the post-colonialism from three aspects: first, it mainly analyzes the "other" who is marginalized in the colonial context. In the face of the invasion of Western colonists, the religious convictions of Indians began to waver; Indians, both in India and in Western countries, became a silent "subordinate class"; illegal immigrants both shouldered and ended the dreams of their parents. All this profoundly reflects the colonial influence of the West on India. Second, mainly analyzes the Indian identity loss. With the colonists' praise of western culture and the propaganda of English, the Indian people had a serious identity crisis. Faced with the impact of colonial culture and racial discrimination, Indians have lost themselves in the dilemma between Indian culture and western culture, showing a serious identity crisis. Third, mainly analyzes the post-colonial writing style of lost. On the surface, there seems to be some scattered narrative structure and character portrayal, which actually contains the idea of successive generations, that is, the inheritance of "loss" from generation to generation. The tradition of India is constantly lost. In order to get out of the cultural dilemma and get rid of the colonial rule, we must deeply rooted in the tradition of our nation, return to ourselves and actively seek to start the process of the decolonization of our own culture.
