从成长小说角度解析《我母亲的自传》

【摘要】：加勒比文学是当代英语文学的重要组成部分。它不仅继承了英国文学传统，并结合民族自身的流散文化建立了具有本土意识的加勒比文学，用英语来进行文学创作，表达自身诉求，解构殖民主义话语霸权。在加勒比文学中，“成长”不仅仅是一个小说类型，更是一个贯穿始终的文学主题。加勒比成长小说中主人公不仅要面对青少年普遍具有的成长困惑，还要处理由殖民生活所造成的文化身份认同的问题。而年轻女性的情况更加堪忧，比起男性而言，她们要承受来自父权和殖民主义的双重压迫。牙买加·琴凯德的代表作《我母亲的自传》中，主人公雪拉的遭遇便是如此。本文拟从成长小说角度解读《我母亲的自传》，从主题、人物塑造与叙事结构等层面来论证其作为成长小说所具有的特征，揭示以雪拉为代表的年轻女性在多重压迫下所面临的成长困惑，赞扬了她们在逆境中坚持追求自我的勇气与决心，进一步体现了琴凯德对殖民地女性生存境况的关注。本文旨在通过对《我母亲的自传》的文类分析，加深对雪拉成长的理解，，并为今后的相关研究提供新的方向。
[Abstract]:Caribbean literature is an important part of Contemporary English literature. It not only inherited the tradition of English literature, but also established a Caribbean literature with native consciousness in combination with the diasporic culture of the nation itself. It made literary creation in English, expressed its own appeals, and deconstructed the hegemony of colonial discourse. In the Caribbean literature, "growth" is not only a "growth" in the Caribbean literature. In the Caribbean growth novel, the protagonist should not only face the growing perplexity of young people, but also deal with the problems of cultural identity caused by colonial life. The situation of young women is more worrying, and they have to bear from the father. The double oppression of rights and colonialism. This article is intended to interpret "my mother's autobiography" from the perspective of the growth novel, to demonstrate its characteristics as a growing novel from the aspects of theme, characterization and narrative structure, and reveal that it is a snow la. The young women represent the growing perplexity faced by the multiple oppression, praising their courage and determination to pursue themselves in adversity, and further embody Kinkaid's attention to the living situation of the colonial women. This article aims to deepen the understanding of the growth of the snow by analyzing the literature of my mother's autobiography and for the future. The relevant research provides a new direction.
