以三重人格理论阐释《土生子》中别格的失衡人格

【摘要】：理查德·赖特是一战之后哈莱姆文艺复兴的代表人物之一。《土生子》作为他的代表作为美国黑人文学开启了全新的一章。理查德·赖特在《土生子》中揭示并谴责了美国社会的种族歧视现象。本文将以弗洛伊德的三重人格理论阐释《土生子》中别格·托马斯的失衡人格。作者通过对文本进行分析讨论了别格·托马斯强大的本我,弱小的自我以及社会因素所造成的扭曲的超我。别格强大的本我体现在其残暴的本性、对于暴力的热爱以及以自我为中心的生活方式。而其自我,虽然试图调和其本我与超我的冲突,但却常常以失败告终。别格的超我被不平等的社会规则所扭曲,整个社会评判事物的准则都基于白人的利益,成长于这样的社会环境中,别格的超我逐渐扭曲并变得弱小,无法与其强大的本我抗衡。此外,本文分别从内在和外在两方面分析了导致别格·托马斯人格失衡的因素。其中内在因素包括别格·托马斯内心的压抑、恐惧以及仇恨,如小说情节所示,别格始终生活在这些负面情绪的折磨中。而别格人格失衡的外在因素包括社会的不平等现象以及人们的盲目。形成别格超我的社会规则完全与黑人的利益相悖,身为黑人别格为了谋求生存无法以其超我的要求为行为准则。最终,别格的三重人格失去了平衡。
[Abstract]:Richard Wright was one of the representative figures of the Harlem Renaissance after World War I. as his representative, Native son opened a new chapter in American black literature. Richard Wright reveals and denounces racial discrimination in Native American society. In this paper, Freud's triple personality theory is used to explain the unbalanced personality of Berg Thomas in Native son. By analyzing the text, the author discusses the powerful ego, the weak ego and the distorted superego caused by social factors. The powerful ego is embodied in its brutal nature, its love of violence, and its self-centered way of life. The ego, though trying to reconcile the conflict between self and superego, often ends in failure. Beagle's superego is distorted by unequal social rules, and the whole social criterion of judging things is based on the interests of white people. Growing up in such a social environment, Beagle's superego is gradually distorted and weak, unable to compete with its powerful ego. In addition, this paper analyzes the factors that lead to the personality imbalance of Berg Thomas from both internal and external aspects. The internal factors include the oppression, fear and hatred of Berg Thomas, who, as the plot of the novel shows, has always lived in the torment of these negative emotions. The external factors of Berger's personality imbalance include social inequality and people's blindness. The social rules of forming the transcendental ego are completely contrary to the interests of the black people. As a black man, he cannot take his superego request as the code of conduct in order to survive. In the end, Berg's triple personality lost its balance.
