【摘要】：正20世纪90年代初,我国外国文学翻译出版形势逐渐步入了一个相对平静而有序的状态。此时,以陈早春同志为首的出版社领导班子从我社地位和文化建设的角度考虑,决定出版《世界文学名著文库》(简称《世界文库》)。人民文学出版社是国家级专业文学出版社,责无旁贷地承担起编辑出版代表国家水平的《世界文库》的任务。出版社自1951年成立以来,在出版中外古今文学作品方面积累了丰厚的家底,共计翻译出版
