认知诗学视域下莎士比亚十四行诗的意象研究

【摘要】:本文旨在以合成空间理论为基础,在认知诗学视域下探究莎士比亚十四行诗中的意象。作为一个至关重要的研究焦点,意象在文学、艺术、语言学、心理学等不同学科都有所探讨。在文学研究领域,意象的各种定义都与中国古典诗歌中的“意境”关联密切,而且深受中国传统文化的影响。在认知语言学与认知心理学领域,,意象常被称作“映像”、“心理表象”或“心象”;意象也被界定为“对于感知的心理表征”(王寅,2006:175)。在美学领域,意象往往与特定的感情及艺术情感结合紧密。上述涉及诸多领域与范畴的定义均有失全面与综合。 为增强对莎士比亚十四行诗中意象的艺术鉴赏力,本文将在认知诗学视域下对意象进行重新界定。作为一门新兴的跨学科研究,认知诗学更加关注在文学解读过程中读者所调用的智力运作方式及一般认知能力。本文中意象的定义从这一新学科领域的研究维度出发,综合、客观而又适切,涵盖了认知、艺术感知、情感和作者思想等多种因素。 意象生成机制的阐释有助于意象的理解与欣赏。合成空间理论为文学文本分析和意义建构提供了有效的认知工具。本文的构建基于Line BrandtPer Aage Brandt在2005年所提出的一种六空间合成网络模式;该模式是对最初四空间概念整合网络的一种符号学修正,将动机中情感的重要角色融汇进来,从而能对语篇解读中所涉及的动态过程作出更为详细贴切的描述。本文表明六空间合成网络模式是一种在阐释诗歌意义产生,尤其是在意象生成机制解读方面更为有力的解释工具。 本文主要采用了文本细读和个案研究相结合的研究方法,从而使得单纯诗学解读和认知研究之间得以建立起直接的关联。莎士比亚的十四行诗中形形色色的意象俯拾皆是,譬如“玫瑰”代表爱情和美好,“日落”代表意气消沉,“潮汐”代表时间与自然的冷酷无情等。本文的研究中心即是阐释上述这些解读是如何从认知诗学的视角得以达成的,而非对莎翁十四行诗中的这些意象提出新的不同解读。本文研究的意义与价值在于在认知语言学研究与传统文学探讨之间达成兼容与平衡,从而使读者对诗歌语言的赏析更为深入,对其意义的洞察更为透彻。 概言之,本文详细阐释了合成空间理论及其对莎士比亚十四行诗中意象的解释力。认知诗学的视阈为文学语言运用中所涉及到的,且艺术性体现出的人类共有的心理过程开创了新的研究领域。
[Abstract]:Based on the synthetic space theory, this paper explores the imagery in Shakespeare's sonnets from the perspective of cognitive poetics. As a crucial research focus, imagery has been explored in literature, art, linguistics, psychology and so on. In the field of literary research, the definition of image is closely related to the "artistic conception" in Chinese classical poetry, and deeply influenced by Chinese traditional culture. In the field of cognitive linguistics and cognitive psychology, image is often referred to as "image", "psychological representation" or "mental image", and image is defined as "psychological representation of perception" (Wang Yin-ng 2006: 175). In the field of aesthetics, images are often closely combined with specific emotions and artistic emotions. The above definitions of many fields and categories are not comprehensive and comprehensive. In order to enhance the artistic appreciation of the imagery in Shakespeare's sonnets, this paper redefines the image from the perspective of cognitive poetics. As a new interdisciplinary study, cognitive poetics pays more attention to the intellectual operation mode and general cognitive ability of readers in the process of literary interpretation. The definition of image in this paper is based on the research dimension of this new discipline. It is comprehensive, objective and relevant, covering many factors, such as cognition, artistic perception, emotion and author's thought. The explanation of the mechanism of image generation is helpful to the understanding and appreciation of image. Synthetic space theory provides an effective cognitive tool for literary text analysis and meaning construction. The construction of this paper is based on a six-space synthetic network model proposed by Line BrandtPer Aage Brandt in 2005, which is a semiotic revision of the initial four-space concept integration network, which integrates the important role of emotion in motivation. Therefore, the dynamic process involved in discourse interpretation can be described in more detail. This paper shows that the six-space synthetic network model is a more powerful tool for interpreting the meaning of poetry, especially in the interpretation of the mechanism of image generation. This paper mainly adopts the research method of combining text reading and case study, thus establishing a direct connection between pure poetics interpretation and cognitive research. Shakespeare's sonnets are full of images, such as "Rose" for love and beauty, "sunset" for depression, "tide" for time and nature, and so on. The research center of this paper is to explain how these interpretations were achieved from the perspective of cognitive poetics rather than to present new interpretations of these images in Shakespeare's sonnets. The significance and value of this study lies in the compatibility and balance between the study of cognitive linguistics and the discussion of traditional literature, so that readers can appreciate the poetic language more deeply and have a more thorough insight into its meaning. In summary, this paper explains in detail the theory of synthetic space and its explanatory power to the imagery in Shakespeare's sonnets. The visual threshold of cognitive poetics is involved in the use of literary language, and the common psychological process embodied in art has opened up a new research field.
