李翊云小说中的“现代中国”及其西方接受

【摘要】：旅美作家李翊云在小说中描写了中国人在现代化进程中面临的一些困境。通过这些平凡的中国人物的故事,作者写出了独特的“现代中国”形象。同时,李翊云在作品中注入了自己的跨国体验,将笔下的中国题材用作对人类当下命运的思考,并提出了中国式的救赎方法。李翊云的小说为西方读者提供了一个看待中国的新角度。尽管小说中的中国人与他们之前理解的不同,但是他们能够感受到李翊云小说中人物丰富的内心世界。 因为小说对“现代中国”的塑造,西方读者有了“真诚”的阅读体验,他们认同于小说人物的遭遇,并感受到文化差异下共通的人性。对于西方而言,其小说里的“中国”如同镜像一般,既反射出他们“现代化”进程中的困境,又折射出现代中国人的生存状态和精神世界,从而有利于西方读者对中国文化的了解,促进了他们与中国人之间的交流。通过分析李翊云小说在西方的接受,为中国当代小说如何走向世界提供了一些启示。
[Abstract]:Li Yiyun, a writer in the United States, describes some of the difficulties faced by the Chinese in the process of modernization. Through the stories of these ordinary Chinese characters, the author has written a unique image of Modern China. At the same time, Li Yiyun infused his own transnational experience in his works, using the Chinese theme as a reflection on the present fate of human beings, and put forward a Chinese-style redemption method. Li Yiyun's novels provide Western readers with a new perspective on China. Although the Chinese people in the novel are different from their previous understanding, they can feel the rich inner world of Li Yiyun's characters. Western readers have a "sincere" reading experience because of the portrayal of "modern China" in the novel. They agree with the story of the characters and feel the common human nature under the cultural differences. To the West, the "China" in his novels is like a mirror image, reflecting not only the predicament in the process of their "modernization", but also the living state and spiritual world of the modern Chinese people. Therefore, it helps the western readers to understand Chinese culture and promote the communication between them and the Chinese. By analyzing the acceptance of Li Yiyun's novels in the West, this paper provides some enlightenment on how Chinese contemporary novels go to the world.
