[Abstract]:Tony Morrison was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1993. As the only black American writer ever to win the Nobel Prize for Literature, Tony Morrison has had a profound influence in the literary world. Recognized as one of the most outstanding novelists in the world today, her novel achievement is a monument in the history of black American literature. Morrison is committed to the preservation and promotion of black culture. Her works focus on black life under the rule of white culture, especially black women living on the margins of society. The Bluest eyes, published in 1970, is Tony Morrison's first work, which has received critical attention. The novel, like a song, tells the story of Pekola, a little black girl. She indulged in fantasies and longed to have blue eyes in order to be admired and recognized. In the end, Pecora realized her dream in her crazy world, but fell into an abyss of trauma and pain. To some extent, the main characters in the novel suffer from collective and personal trauma, showing complex trauma symptoms. The main characters in the novel experience different kinds of trauma. As a representative of black male traumatists, Jolly's trauma stems from his early personal tragic experiences. Pauline, one of the black female traumatists, experienced the double trauma of domestic violence and sarcasm. Pekola's trauma comes mainly from family apathy and community exclusion. Other black children in the novel experience the same trauma. Every kind of wound brings deep hurt to the characters in the novel. This paper tries to analyze the novel by using trauma theory, and tries to find out the unspeakable trauma pain of the main characters and their efforts to get out of the trauma. By integrating past memory and present life, finding their own social identity, and enhancing intimate relationships among community members, traumatists are likely to gain self-improvement from the trauma and re-examine the world. But the depth and depth of the wounds made it hard for blacks to get rid of the nightmares that beset them. In an attempt to get rid of the nightmare of the past, Jolly drank and even transferred hatred to his wife and daughter, having incest relations with his daughter, symbolizing his failure to integrate painful memories of the past into his present life. Pauline lost her ability to love and even lost her self-femininity after her personal trauma. Pecora's madness suggests that she refuses to fit into the white community and finds herself in her crazy world.
