论狄更斯小说的生态意识

【摘要】：查尔斯·狄更斯是英国维多利亚时期最著名的作家之一,有“英国小说之王”之美誉。其作品不仅反映了19世纪中期英国的社会状况,还以其广阔的视野和细致的笔触揭示了英国由产业革命和城市化浪潮所衍生出的一系列严重的生态问题,表现出颇为浓厚的生态意识。本文在细读文本的基础上,采用生态批评这一研究方法,试图解读其作品中所蕴含的生态意识。全文由绪论、正文和结语三部分组成： 绪论部分简述了国内外学者对狄更斯作品的研究现状,以及本文的选题依据等内容。 正文部分由四章组成。第一章“生态危机意识”,从铁路、工厂、烟雾、河流、街区和废墟等具体意象着手,分析了狄更斯小说中所揭示的工业化和城市化对自然环境及人类原有生活秩序的干扰和破坏。第二章“生态保护意识”,以人类与自然之间的关系为出发点,从“被异化者”、“自然的宠儿”、“寻梦者”、“魂归自然者”、“归根者”这五个角度试图阐明其作品中所表现出的人类对大自然的依托,肯定了自然淳朴的环境对于人类心灵美和品德美的熏陶和塑造,批判了工业文明和城市文明对于人类精神的腐蚀和异化。第三章“生态和谐意识”,在前两章的基础上,总结了狄更斯小说中所蕴含的反对“人类中心主义”价值观,敬畏大自然,以及希望人类与自然和谐相融、互惠互利等思想。第四章则从时代背景和作家本人的经历这两个方面探究了其生态意识形成的原因。 结语部分对狄更斯小说中所蕴含的生态意识进行了简要总结,并对其生态意识的特殊性进行简要阐述。
[Abstract]:Charles Dickens is one of the most famous Victorian writers in England and is known as the King of English novels. His works not only reflect the social situation in Britain in the middle of the 19th century, but also reveal a series of serious ecological problems arising from the industrial revolution and the wave of urbanization in Britain with its broad vision and meticulous brushwork. Show a rather strong ecological awareness. On the basis of careful reading of the text, this paper attempts to interpret the ecological consciousness contained in his works by using the method of ecological criticism. The full text is composed of three parts: introduction, text and conclusion. In the introduction, the research status of Dickens's works and the basis of this thesis are briefly introduced. The main body is composed of four chapters. The first chapter, "Ecological crisis consciousness", begins with concrete images such as railways, factories, smog, rivers, blocks and ruins. This paper analyzes the disturbance and destruction of industrialization and urbanization in Dickens' novels to the natural environment and the original living order of mankind. The second chapter "ecological protection consciousness", based on the relationship between human and nature, from "alienated person", "natural darling", "dreamer", "soul return to nature". In the final analysis, the author tries to clarify the reliance of human beings on nature in his works, and affirms that the natural and simple environment has influenced and shaped the beauty of human mind and moral character. It criticizes the corrosion and alienation of industrial civilization and urban civilization to human spirit. On the basis of the first two chapters, the third chapter summarizes the ideas of opposing "anthropocentrism" in Dickens' novels, revering nature, and hoping for harmony between man and nature, mutual benefit and so on. The fourth chapter explores the reasons for the formation of the ecological consciousness from the background of the times and the author's own experience. The conclusion summarizes the ecological consciousness contained in Dickens' novels and expounds the particularity of his ecological consciousness.
