《法国中尉的女人》的狂欢化特点研究

英国小说家约翰福尔斯的杰作《法国中尉的女人》一出版即受到了国内外评论界的高度关注。福尔斯如同置身于中古时期的狂欢广场,有意识地颠覆小说创作中的各种清规戒律,把小说的艺术形式推向了极致。虽然评论家们纷纷从作品的主题思想、叙事方法、写作技巧等角度对这部作品进行了深入的研究,但鲜有人把此小说与巴赫金的狂欢化诗学建立联系。笔者尝试运用巴赫金的狂欢化诗学理论来分析《法国中尉的女人》中所体现的狂欢化特点,希望能够拓宽和加深我们对这部杰作的理解。 本文分别从狂欢化的复调结构,狂欢化的艺术思维和狂欢化的体裁三个方面深入分析了《法国中尉的女人》所具有的狂欢化特点,如平等对话的精神,讽刺性模拟,狂欢化的小丑、疯子等人物形象。福尔斯通过自己独特的叙事方式和艺术思维将小说成功带入狂欢领域。他对小说家传统地位的挑战引发了小说家对艺术创新的可能性的积极思考,间接地再现了后现代小说对传统艺术进行全面颠覆的反叛精神。然而,《法国中尉的女人》的狂欢并不是对传统小说要素的完全否定,而是在保留传统的同时通过颠覆性的艺术形式与之展开对话。 在充分肯定小说中渗透的狂欢化特征的同时,本文进一步指出,《法国中尉的女人...
