外研社版高中英语教材中文化知识处理方式的现状调查

【摘要】：自从人们意识到语言和文化的关系后,培养文化意识受到了越来越多的重视。在2003年教育部出版的《普通高中英语课程标准》(实验版)中就强调了文化教学的重要性。文化教学虽已逐渐成为外语教学的核心,但关于文化知识和文化教学方面的研究却不多。基于以上这种情况,更为了真实的反映文化教学的现状,作者通过调查四川省阆中市阆中中学高二年级的6名英语教师和100名学生对教材中文化知识的处理方式,提出并解决了以下三个问题:1)英语教师和学生如何看待教材中的文化知识?2)英语教师和学生如何处理教材中的文化知识?他们这样做的原因是什么?3)英语教师和学生对文化教学有什么样的看法?为了解决这些问题,本研究采用以下三种研究工具——课堂观察目的在于观察文化教学的真实情况以及记录老师的教学方法,访谈用于发现老师和学生对文化知识和文化教学的看法,调查问卷则是为了发现学生最喜欢的教学方法以及其学习文化知识的方法。通过对从课堂观察,问卷和访谈收集的数据分析比较,得出以下三个结论:第一,尽管有些老师和学生对教材中的文化知识漠不关心,但大多数还是对这些知识很满意。第二,高中英语教师经常通过展示图片,播放电影,介绍文化背景,角色扮演等方式教授文化知识,其中播放影片和小组讨论的形式最受学生欢迎。学生则是通过做演讲,阅读报纸、杂志等课外书籍的方式丰富自己的文化知识。第三,老师和学生都已经意识到文化知识在语言学习过程中的重要性,文化教学得到了一定的关注。本研究共由五部分组成。第一章主要介绍了研究背景,研究目的和意义以及整篇论文的结构。第二章则是回顾了前人的相关研究并介绍了一些基本概念。第三章介绍了研究问题、研究对象、研究工具和研究过程。第四章是关于研究结果的展示和讨论。最后一章对全文做出总结,指出此研究对老师和学生的启示,说明了此研究存在的不足之处并对此提出相关建议。
[Abstract]:Since people are aware of the relationship between language and culture, the cultivation of cultural awareness has been paid more and more attention. In 2003, the importance of cultural teaching was emphasized in the standard of English curriculum for ordinary high school published by the Ministry of education. The teaching of culture has gradually become the core of foreign language teaching, but on cultural knowledge and teaching. Based on the above situation, in order to reflect the actual situation of culture teaching, the author has investigated and solved the following three questions by investigating 6 English teachers and 100 students in the second grade of Langzhong middle school in Langzhong, Sichuan Province, and solved the following three questions: 1) how to see English teachers and students The cultural knowledge in the teaching material? 2) how do English teachers and students handle the cultural knowledge in the teaching materials? What are the reasons for them? 3) what are the views of English teachers and students on culture teaching? The questionnaire is to find the students' favorite teaching methods and the methods of learning their cultural knowledge. Through the analysis and comparison of the data collected from the classroom observation, the questionnaire and the interview, the following three First, although some teachers and students are indifferent to the cultural knowledge in the teaching materials, most of them are satisfied with these knowledge. Second, high school English teachers often teach literary knowledge by displaying pictures, playing films, introducing cultural background, role playing and so on, among which film and group discussion are most popular. Students are welcome. Students enrich their cultural knowledge by making speeches, reading newspapers, magazines and other extracurricular books. Third, teachers and students have already realized the importance of cultural knowledge in the process of language learning, and the cultural teaching has gained a certain concern. This study consists of five parts. The first chapter mainly introduces the research. The background, the purpose and significance of the study and the structure of the whole paper. The second chapter reviews the previous studies and introduces some basic concepts. The third chapter introduces the research issues, the research objects, the research tools and the research process. The fourth chapter is about the presentation and discussion of the research results. The last chapter summarizes the full text and points out the research. The enlightenment to teachers and students shows the shortcomings of this research and puts forward relevant suggestions.
