词汇知识与阅读理解能力的关系研究

词汇是语言的基石,对于外语学习与教学是至关重要的。对词汇知识的深入和广泛掌握是外语学习者的关键任务之一。阅读和词汇知识有着紧密的联系。词汇知识和阅读是学生和英语老师共同面对的两项英语知识和能力。为了探讨词汇知识和阅读理解之间的确切关系,本文以Qian(2002)建立的词汇知识框架为理论基础,以高二某班为研究对象,对他们进行三次语言测试,每次均包括对他们词汇广度知识,词汇深度知识以及阅读理解能力。测试的成绩作为原始数据,利用SPSS 16.0软件中的皮尔逊相关分析和多元回归分析程序进行分析处理,研究词汇的深度和词汇广度以及阅读理解能力三者之间的关系。本实验中的研究对象为笔者自己的学生,他们英语语言能力水平相当于大学英语四级所要求的水平。所有的试卷均以大学英语四级水平为参照设计。词汇广度测试是笔者基于Nation设计的Vocabulary Levels Test(VLT)的同时,选取大学英语四级词汇设计的。词汇深度知识包括三个方面,一是Read于1998年设计的Word Associates Test为基础,选择适合受试者水平的词汇编写的词汇搭配测试卷,另外两项是近义词和反义词测试。阅读理...
