模因论视角下译者进行翻译策略选择的认知探析

【摘要】：对于译者而言，如何选择翻译策略长久以来都是一个异常复杂、争论不休的问题。其中，异化和归化是讨论最频繁的一对翻译策略，除此之外，翻译策略还包括直译和意译，语义翻译和交际翻译。本研究旨在探讨译者在翻译过程中的内在认知活动。在翻译认知学理论指导下，采取了定性分析和溯因推理的方法。通过对译者大脑信息加工的透彻分析，以文字的形式将译者在进行翻译策略选择时的思维活动展现出来。之后通过研究译者认知能力和翻译质量的关系，进一步强调了认知对翻译水平的重要性。最后本文从一个新的视角——切斯特曼翻译模因来分析翻译策略的选择。切斯特曼翻译模因是一个动态的、开放的、不断发展的理论体系，主要包括五种模因，即源语—目标语模因、对等模因、不可译性模因、直译—意译模因以及写作即翻译模因。切斯特曼认为认知模因的关键问题在于:“译者头脑中的真实经验是什么，译者的自我意识如何，译者的决策过程是如何起作用的?”基于以上理论，，本文着重探讨译者在做出翻译策略选择时的认知过程以及译者的认知能力如何影响其做出正确的策略选择。
[Abstract]:For translators, how to choose translation strategies has long been a complicated and controversial issue. Among them, alienation and domestication are the most frequently discussed pair of translation strategies. In addition, translation strategies include literal and free translation, semantic translation and communicative translation. The purpose of this study is to explore the intrinsic cognitive activities of the translator in the process of translation. Under the guidance of translation cognitive theory, qualitative analysis and retroactive reasoning are adopted. Through a thorough analysis of the information processing in the translator's brain, the thinking activities of the translator in the selection of translation strategies are revealed in the form of text. By studying the relationship between translator's cognitive competence and translation quality, the importance of cognition to translation competence is further emphasized. Finally, this paper analyzes the choice of translation strategies from a new perspective-Chesterman translation meme. Chesterman translation meme is a dynamic, open and developing theoretical system, which includes five memes, namely, source-target meme, equivalent meme, untranslatable meme, literal translation meme and writing translation meme. Chesterman believes that the key question of cognitive meme is: "what is the real experience in the translator's mind, what is the translator's self-awareness, and how does the translator's decision-making process work?" Based on the above theory, this paper focuses on the cognitive process of the translator's choice of translation strategies and how the translator's cognitive ability affects the choice of the correct strategy.
