中美新闻发言人答记者问中模糊限制语的对比研究

模糊限制语作为模糊语的核心成员,一直受到国内外学者的广泛关注。通过文献回顾发现,从语用、语篇、社会语言学层面对模糊限制语的研究层出不穷,其中,模糊限制语在外交中的应用备受关注,然而现有的研究主要以中文或英文外交发言稿为语料对模糊限制语的使用情况进行语用分析,针对中美外交部发言人答记者问中模糊限制语的对比研究却鲜有深入剖析。基于此,本研究以Varttala(2001)对词汇型模糊限制语的分类作为标准,以111篇中美外交部发言人答记者问英文稿为研究对象,采取定量与定性相结合的分析方法,通过自建的语料库及Antconc.3.2.4检索统计数据工具,对中美发言人答语样本中模糊限制语的使用频率、分布情况及其使用动因进行对比分析。结果表明:其一,词汇型模糊限制语在中美发言人语料中整体使用频繁,并且Varttala所划分的5种模糊限制语词类均被广泛应用;其二,在中美语料库中,模糊限制动词为发言人使用频率最高的词类,模糊限制名词的使用频率次之;其三,美方发言人对词汇型模糊限制语的使用频率和种类均超过了中方发言人;其四,两国发言人在词汇型模糊限制语的使用频率上呈现不同特征,其中,中方发言人的情态动词使用频...
